Organizations Overview | Eduard Kunz (piano) Born in Siberia. He studied at the Gnesin School of Music with Mikhail Hoflov and Andrei Deyev at the Moscow Conservatory of Music. After that, he studied under Norma Fisher and Mark Ray at the Royal Northern College of Music and won the Gold Medal. He has performed with all the BBC orchestras and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the National Opera Orchestra of Wales, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Berlin Deutsche Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Toulouse Capitol, as well as on television and radio. He was selected by BBC Magazine as one of the 10 greatest pianists of tomorrow. He has won 13 international competitions, including the Georges Enesco International Competition and the Paderewski International Piano Competition, as well as silver medals from the London Musicians Honorary Union, as well as many more awards, including the Hattori Music Foundation, Dame Myra Hess, Yamaha European Music Foundation, and the Rostropovich Foundation. |
