Organizations Overview After working as a member of the Mujika Praktica Ensemble, an ensemble for contemporary music led by Satoko Inoue composer Jo Kondo, he has been working solo since 1991. He has performed many recitals, including "Atko Plays Japan", and was particularly highly regarded for his piano performances, performances of all songs, and performances by Morton Feldman. Overseas, he has invited people from international contemporary music festivals such as ISCM (Romania), Buenos Aires Contemporary Music Week (Argentina), Festival für aktuelle Klangkunst (Germany) and Contempuls (Czech Republic), as well as solo recitals throughout Europe, the Americas and the Middle East, as well as lecturers in master classes such as Lille University, Cairo Conservatory, California University of the Arts, and Guildhall Conservatory of Music (London). Since 2008, he has been involved in the planning and production of the concert series Music Documents, artistic director of the 1st Two Countries Art Festival 2015, and the "Experiment of Piano Music for the Future" project from 2018-2021. His solo CD albums have been published by HatHut Records (Switzerland), Emec Discos (Spain), ALM Records (Japan), etc. Received the 10th Saji Keizo Award (Suntory Arts Foundation). Graduated from the Department of Composition, Tokyo Gakugei University. He is currently a professor at the National College of Music.
