French sculptor
Fran?ois Pompon exhibition

This exhibition He creates his most acclaimed work ≪ Polar Bear≫ from his early pom-pom work to his 1922 salon, and approaches his work and lifelong charm until he establishes fame.
As a special exhibition from Pompon's home country of France, this exhibition consists of about 90 works from the Dijon Museum in Dijon City, where Pompon was the greatest supporter, the Mus?e Des fran?ois Pompom in Saurieux, the Mus?e d'Orsay in Paris, and the Gunma Prefectural Tatebayashi Museum, which has a large collection in The City of Pompom, and traces the entire story of his work.

Fran?ois Pompon, who created a life-size giant sculpture ≪ polar bear≫ in the Mus?e d'Orsay and created sculptures modeled after many other animals, is an animal sculptor who gained popularity during the Art Deco period in the early 20th century. The characteristic of his work is that he observes the ecology in detail, from familiar animals such as pigeons, cats, and dogs to livestock seen on farms such as pigs and cows, and foreign animals such as giraffes, brown bears, and polar bears, and has been carefully observed in detail to make it simple and smooth. Most of the works are relatively small and loveliness, from 18cm to 28cm. With humorous Oran Wu-Tang facial expressions, teasing pelicans and hippos yawning in the sun, pompom sculptures celebrate happiness and embody the joy of living and bring a happy feeling and smile to the bee.
