Organizations Overview | Nobuko Kondo Pf. junior high school attached to The National College of Music, entered the Department of Instruments and Music, Tokyo University of the Arts in 1980. Completed doctoral course at the same graduate school. He received his Ph.D. in thesis and performance of Stokhausen's piano pieces. In 1984, he won the Cultural Broadcasting Music Award. From 1986 to 1988, he studied at the Berlin University of the Arts as a scholarship student of the German Academic Exchange Association (DAAD). Graduated with the best result. In 1988, he won second place at the A. Schnabel Competition without first place, and his performance at the award-winning concert was acclaimed in the "Tages Spiegel" newspaper. In the same year, he won a prize at the Busoni International Competition and the Nancy Miller Memorial Prize at the W. Capel International Competition in 1990, and performed with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and many other orchestras. He has also been active in contemporary songs and new premieres, and has performed at the Suntory Summer Festival, the Summer Music Festival in Tokyo, and other events. In 1993, he started a recital series, 20th Century Piano Pieces. This exhibition includes works by Xenakis, Cage, Nankalow, takemman, and more, including Stokhausen's great works Contakte, Piano Piece X, Lucifer's Dream, and Santi Fu. In recent years, he has also focused on J.S. Bach's work, especially in 2000's Recital of All Volumes of The Average Rhythm Kravia Volume I. In 2015, he received the Excellence Award at the 69th Agency for Cultural Affairs Art Festival. From April 2017, he stayed in Berlin as a long-term foreign trainee at the National College of Music. His research focused on Beethoven's piano works. In 2019, he began a series of beethoven piano sonatas.
