Detailed Information

Performance content In 1783, Michael Haydn was affected by illness. Archbishop Koroledo asked him to compose a "duet for violin and viola", and four of the six pieces were completed, but the other two were not. So my friend Mozart, who had just returned to Salzburg, offered to compose the two songs instead. The six duos, which were de facto co-ops, were presented to the archbishop under the pretext of composing Michael Haydn. This truth came to light after a considerable number of years after their deaths.
Currently, only two works composed by Mozart are performed, and there are few opportunities to perform works by Michael Haydn. In "Michael Haydn Project #02 Friendship with Mozart", all six songs are performed throughout the day and night.
