Organizations Overview Kedagoro /
A dance company headed by Reisa Shimojima. Formed in 2013. Currently, the activity is centered on seven members. Major works include the company's masterpiece "SKY" (2018), which superimposes the process of creation with the structure of collective madness based on the Allied Red Army case, and "Bikozu Kazukozu" (2021), which is based on Kazuko Fukuda, an orthopedic fugitive who is the perpetrator of the "Matsuyama hostess murder case" in the 1980s. While using humor and irony to dismantle the real image of society and human beings that cannot be captured by logic, he develops a dance work with a dramatic style that disturbs the perspective on reality. Since 2019, she has received many invitations from dance festivals in Japan and overseas, and in 2021, she won the Kyoto Prize and the Audience Award, which are the grand prizes, at the KYOTO CHOREOGRAPHY AWARD 2020.
