Organizations Overview | This year's Composition will feature two related performances at the Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall, both of which will be hosted by TRANSIENT. This is a solo exhibition of choral works. Choral works are a rare field in which Joe Kondo writes music that does not rely on the methodology of "line music", and some of the songs develop extremely complex counterpoint music, which is made possible by the Japanese lyrics marking melodic lines. Such pieces cannot be heard at other concerts of the composition, and it is no exaggeration to say that if you do not listen to this concert, you will not be able to grasp the whole picture of Joe Kondo's work. |
